The story of The Alankaran

The foundation of The Alankaran was started in 2023. There was a time when I used not go to India like every year. I realized that my collection of Indian outfits is not enough. We had bought a new house and had to wear new clothes for the pooja, but it was very difficult to get traditional outfits from India at very short notice. I also realized that many desi people like me, who are not able to go to India every year, cannot wear desi outfits even if they feel like wearing it. At that time, this thought came to my mind that due to lack of resources no desi girl should be left behind in flaunting her ethnicity. They should have the option to select ethnic outfits from newborn to adults. This is what motivated me to create our small home-grown setup.
